Naval Architect P.E.

Required: 5-10 years experience, degree in naval architecture and marine engineering from accredited college, P.E. license in naval architecture and marine engineering. Experience in concept, early-stage, contract, and detail design; structural calculations; stability calculations; planning & conducting stability tests; preparing stability booklets; preparing design drawings and technical specifications. Knowledgeable of classification society rules and regulatory body requirements for stability, subdivision, structural integrity, structural fire protection, and live saving equipment.

Preferred: Shipboard or work experience in a shipyard environment. Experience using industry standard software such as AutoCAD, Rhino, GHS, NAVCA, MathCAD, SMP, and ALGOR.
