Art Anderson Associates has provided architectural, engineering and construction management for the Central Kitsap School District on a number of projects, including:

Fairview Junior High Restroom and Kitchen

Art Anderson Associates provided design and engineering services to accomplish the renovation of a (Special Education) Life Skill Center classroom. The school district added an "L" shaped, handicap accessible kitchen and handicap accessible restroom. Cabinets in the classroom were rearranged to retain locking cabinets, and provide a door with vision panel & adjacent relite connecting to the next room. The exterior sidewalk was also widened to increase accessibility.

CK High School Floor and Glass Wall

Art Anderson Associates performed a study analyzing structural issues at CK High School. We sought to determine the cause of deformation of the floor and cracking of glass wall blocks and formulated alternative fixes that could be implemented. An immediate concern was the safety of personnel and property, and the long-range consideration for arresting or repairing the problem.

Jackson Park Elementary Quiet Room and Restroom

On this project, Art Anderson provided designs for a small restroom enlargement & renovation, and the addition a quiet room for the special education classroom at Jackson Park Elementary.

Jackson Park Elementary Water Study

Art Anderson Associates provided engineering services to investigate the integrity of the existing domestic water distribution piping at Jackson Park Elementary School. We provided recommendations and associated cost estimates for repair, replacement, or other alternatives to correct existing problems with the piping system.

Brownsville Elementary Seismic Upgrades

Art Anderson Associates provided engineering services for various seismic upgrades to Brownsville Elementary. Our work included engineering to service and replace failing hot and cold water pipes, and upgrade of the electrical system to support a modern communication system, analog clock system, multimedia improvements, fire alarm and detection system. We also designed seismic hold down anchors for the school's interior walls.

Silver Ridge Elementary Structural Forensics

Art Anderson Associates was called on by the District to help investigate a structural problem at Silver Ridge Elementary. The investigation came out of concerns by facility personnel, and investigated soffit cracking around the facility's "pods". We investigated many of the areas of concern and provided a report that included our analyses and recommendations. Follow-on tasks included providing designs for repairs to the sagging soffits, investigation of roof structure framing members and repairs to the roof beam.

CKSD Flood Inspections

Art Anderson Associates was tasked with conducting inspections and providing an oral report for damage to the Emerald Heights Playfield and the site of the Jenne Wright Administration Building. The damage was caused from flooding as a result of the winter storm of late 2007.
