West Sound Technical Skills Center Lighting Modifications

Art Anderson Associates provided design and engineering services for modifications to the lighting and electrical systems at the West Sound Technical Skills Center. Our scope included design and preparation of documents to obtain permits and secure quotes from qualified electrical contractors to accomplish electrical modifications. We also provided calculations and documents required for review and approval by the state Department of Labor and Industries.

Kitsap Lake Elementary Soffit Investigation & Fascia Repair

At the request of the Facilities Director of the Bremerton School District, Art Anderson was tasked to investigate instances of local sagging and deformation around some columns at the Kitsap Lake Elementary School. During the investigation with BSD personnel, Art Anderson Associates Engineers discovered it was due to sagging in the fascia panels because of an improper connection to the roof trusses. Later, an add-on to the contract was made to investigate Crownhill Elementary to see if similar problems are developing. Reports were quickly made for each school and submitted to BSD Facilities. Follow-on work included design and construction management to support the building repairs.

Administration Building Divider Wall Modifications

Art Anderson Associates provided engineering and construction support services for installation of a divider wall at the Bremerton School District Administration Building. We worked with District officials to develop a concept scope and provided a rough-order-magnitude cost estimate for the proposed modifications.

Bremerton High School Greenhouse

Art Anderson Associates provided design and engineering services for preparation of bid/construction drawings, including notes and specifications for the installation of a stand-alone greenhouse at Bremerton High School.

West Hills Elementary & Crown Hill Elementary Traffic Studies

Art Anderson Associates provided planning services for a study analyzing parking and vehicular/pedestrian traffic at West Hills Elementary. Our scope of services included site and code review to analyze traffic patterns and requirements; analysis and concept development of potential site revisions; review of findings and potential concepts in meetings with District and school personnel; and development of a final report to include language and sketches.

Bremerton High School Freezer Expansion

Art Anderson Associates provided engineering and construction support services for a the expansion of a walk-in freezer to provide additional capacity. New walls were designed and built to suit the expansion area. Our scope included site and code review, vendor coordination, construction drawings and contractor coordination.

West Sound Technical Skills Center Shop Upgrades

Art Anderson Associates provided engineering and construction support services for 3 tasks at the West Sound Technical Skills Center. The first was for interior arrangements to suite a larger classroom and office for the welding shop. The second was for interior modifications to provide a larger office and improved access to the cosmetology shop. The third task was for a new exterior enclosure to house a new air compressor. Our scope included preliminary design, design review, final design and construction support services.

West Sound Technical Skills Center Auto Courtyard and Collision Repair Equipment Upgrades

Art Anderson Associates provided engineering and construction support services for the installation of an explosion-rated exhaust fan and associated ducting accessories and controls for the automotive courtyard. We also provided services for modifications to provide electrical power for new vacuum equipment and a paint mixing enclosure. Our scope included preliminary design, design review, final design and construction support services.

West Sound Technical Skills Center Kitchen Improvements

Art Anderson Associates provided electrical engineering services in the upgrade of kitchen facilities. Our team designed electrical panel modifications and conducted a plan review.

Bremerton High School Portable Siting

Art Anderson Associates provided engineering consulting services to assist the school district in the installation of a portable classroom. Our work entailed developing the necessary drawings and designs to obtain permit approval from the City.

West Sound Technical Skills Center Covered Walkway

Art Anderson Associates provided design and engineering services for new walkway/entrance covers at the main and side entries to the facility. Our scope included preliminary design, design review, final design and construction support services.

District-Wide Portable Classroom Relocations

Art Anderson Associates provided mechanical and electrical engineering services to Rice Fergus Miller Architecture and Planning in support of portable classroom relocation and installation projects for the Bremerton School District.  We developed engineered designs for the mechanical and electrical utilities needed by District for existing portable (modular) classrooms to be relocated and new portable classrooms to be added at the Bremerton High School and Mountain View Middle School campus sites. We also made design improvements to View Ridge, Crown Hill, Armin Jahr and Naval Avenue Elementary Schools. Mechanical, electrical, and construction plans were engineered to enhance various systems including: power, fire alarm, clock/IC, telephone, security, and data.
