Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering Alaska Marine Highway System Engineering Support
Art Anderson Associates has provided naval architecture and marine engineering support to the Alaska Marine Highway System fleet over the course of multiple contracts. Our most recent work includes fender modifications in Skagway, damage repair planning for the M/V LeConte, updating of cargo securing manuals for the AMHS for 7 vessels in the fleet and update of the fire control plan for the M/V Aurora.
Other work performed for AMHS includes installation design for oceanographic instrumentation aboard the M/V Tustumena, galley and SOLAS upgrades for the M/V Mantanuska, renewal of auxiliary machinery for the M/V Bartlett, and repower design and SOLAS upgrades for the M/V Tustumena.
